Keeping Blood Sugar Levels Normal
Being one of the many who fight hard to keep an ideal weight and blood sugar levels in a normal range then you should begin the New Year right by making new year’s resolutions to keep your body healthy and not just spend your time sitting on a couch at home. Normally, the resolution is followed religiously for the first few weeks then it is forgotten when laziness sets in. The resolution or the promise to keep the body healthy and fit is now moved for the next year.
Then before you realize it, the resolution is moved to a few more years. The resolution will now be forgotten. The many years of ignoring the increased body weight and chronic elevated blood sugar levels would result to serious health problems that signal abrupt change in eating habit and overall lifestyle.
It is important to keep track of your health by making sure you eat and live healthy. Do not wait for the situation to get worse when all you can do is take medications or be confined in a hospital. Being committed to the resolution of staying fit will prevent the possibility of getting seriously sick.
Regular exercise is one great resolution to keep because the body can benefit greatly from it. The glucose in the blood stream that comes from the food eaten is responsible for the elevated blood sugar levels if not burned into fuel and used as energy by the muscles during exercise or any activity. Exercise if done on a regular basis helps a lot in lowering the blood glucose levels as it burns the glucose circulating in the blood. Regular exercise creates a glucose deficit in the muscles as more glucose is needed by the muscles for energy. It is also instrumental in burning the excess fat stored in the body. Insulin benefits from this because the amount of glucose it needs to regulate decreases. This excess fat is the extra glucose that wasn’t used and was stored as fat, which in turn can make the body resistant to insulin. Make a difference this year by sticking to your resolution.
